Paul Arthur 'Bogus' Wege, Jr.

Graveside funeral service for Paul Arthur “Bogus” Wege, Jr. was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 in Highland Cemetery with Chaplain Daniel Litchford officiating.
Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
Paul Arthur “Bogus” Wege, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at his residence in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born on February 28, 1931 in Oxnard, California, to Paul Arthur Wege, Sr. and Edith Vivian (Rowe) Wege. He moved to Meers, Oklahoma, in 1932 with his parents and sister, Betty Mae Wege.
Paul graduated from the eighth grade at Meers Grade School and from Cache High School in 1949. He graduated from Cameron State Agricultural College and Oklahoma A&M (OSU) in 1953 where he belonged to Sigma Chi fraternity.
He married Jacquelyn Yvonne “Jackie” Smallwood at the First Christian Church in Lawton on November 25, 1961.
For over 65 years he was a member of Cache Masonic Lodge #391, Scottish Rite of Guthrie, India Temple Shrine, Oklahoma City, the Elks Lodge #1056 in Lawton, and the Elks Lodge #2125 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He enjoyed taking care of his property and investments.
Paul is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home; daughter, Paula Wege, his nieces and nephews, and the many thoughtful friends he made during his lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Mae (Wege) Pratt and her daughter, Cynthia.
