Chun Ceyte

Funeral service for Chun Ceyte, 87, of Lawton was held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Ceyte passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 in Lawton.

Burial was held at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

Chun was born on July 15, 1936 in Cheju-do, South Korea to Yong Kwan and Song In (Chang) Hong. She grew up in Korea where she attended school and later owned and operated her own hair salon. Chun married Edward L. Ceyte on Feb. 25, 1975 in Seoul, Korea and they came to live in Lawton. Mr. Ceyte passed away on Feb. 5, 2008. Chun enjoyed working in her garden and loved caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Damon Harris, of Cache; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Bobby Ceyte, of Lawton, and Kwang and Yong Chong, of Seattle, WA; two sisters; her grandchildren: Mi L. Chong, Bridget Ceyte, Justin Ceyte, Debra Chong, Destiny Harris, Elionahd Chong, Trevion Harris, and Baylor Harris; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Ceyte; and her sister.
