James Clinton Reeves

Graveside funeral service for James Clinton Reeves will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 in Cache Cemetery with Rev. Jim Myers officiating.
Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
James Clinton Reeves, aka “2 Gun Luke” died peacefully in his home near Cache on Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born March 25, 1926 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Dave and Mabel (Lee) Reeves. Clint attended first grade at Oriana School, the next seven years at Indiahoma and was a 1944 graduate of Cache High School.
Six months out of high school, Clint joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany from 1944 to 1946. Upon returning he married Rubena Jolly on January 18, 1947. They made their home in Cache and in 1961 adopted a son, Ray.
Clint was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason , having been a Mason for 75 years. He was a member of the Cache Masonic Lodge and a member of the York Rite where he traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, participating on the drill team, receiving 4th place.
Clint spent his life around cattle. He grew up helping his dad raise cattle and worked for the National Livestock Commission from 1968 to 1980 as a loan inspector, traveling from ranch to ranch evaluating the price of cattle for loan customers. In 1980 Clint retired from National and went to work for Barnes Ranch of the Barnes Brokerage Company as foreman of the ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma. In 1994 Clint retired and he and Rubena moved back to their ranch in Cache.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Mabel, wife, Rubena, sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Ralph Harmon, and son, Ray.
He is survived by four grandchildren, Charlie Reeves, Chad Reeves, Clinton Joe Reeves and Luke Reeves; several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Pat Biggers, and extended family and providers, Gary and Melody Seigler.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cache Masonic Lodge #391, Cache, OK 73527.
