A gathering to remember and celebrate Paula's life will be held at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Paula Jacqueline Roberts died Saturday, May 25, 2024, at her residence in Cache, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. She was born August 6, 1950, in San Francisco, California, to Paul S. and Jacqueline T. Sand. Paula graduated from George Washington High School in San Francisco and later attended college, where she studied nursing. She moved to Cache in 1980.
Paula was a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on her community. She operated an in-home daycare center while raising her daughters and son, demonstrating her commitment to family. Later, she worked for Torch Home Health as a caregiver for Southwest Eye Institute and Carmike Theaters, showcasing her diverse skills and interests. Her selflessness and community spirit were further evident in her volunteer work for the Lawton Community Theatre and with the Lawton Police Department Sentinel Program.
Paula's love for her family was unparalleled. She was a member of St. Andrews’s Episcopal Church and a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan. However, her most cherished role was that of a grandmother, lovingly known as “Nana” to her eight grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Brown and husband Jeremy of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Stacey Nobles and husband Flint of Altus, Oklahoma; her son, Steven Roberts and wife Malorie of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren, Owen, Tegan, Creed, Katey, Cannon, Bonnie, Maddie and Deacon; her niece, Melinda Schmitz and husband Tommy; and her nephew John Nofplot.
