Funeral service for Blaine Edward Sperr, 61, of Cache, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Kirby, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Mr. Sperr passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home in Cache, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Blaine was born on February 20, 1964 in Munich, Germany to Edward Julius and Angeline Minnie (Gleisner) Sperr. He grew up in Cache, Oklahoma where he attended school, graduating from Cache High School in 1982. He married Juana Malave on May 29, 1985 in Lawton, and they made Cache, Oklahoma their home. Blaine worked for awhile as a mechanic and machinist and in 1987, he began his career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber as a maintenance tech where he worked the next 35 years until retiring in 2022. Blaine enjoyed building high performance race engines for race cars. He loved spending time with his family and every fourth of July was spent with the nieces and nephews and fireworks. He made sure they each got their own packs to shoot off. Blaine will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Juana Sperr, of the home; his son and daughter in law, Calvin and Cassie Sperr; his father, Edward Sperr; his brother and sister in law, Shawn and Paula Sperr; three sisters and spouses, Sharon and Bruce Tatroult, Jenny Buss, and Amy and John Montgomery; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angeline Sperr; and his brother, Randy Sperr.
