Funeral Service for Byron Gene Apauty, 67 will be at 1 PM on Friday August 29, 2025, at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel with Tina Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Cache KCA Cemetery, Cache, OK under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Prayer Service will be at 7 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel.
Byron went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on November 5, 1957, in Lawton to Ralph Ferguson and Eva Lois( Kopaddy) Apauty. Byron was a member of the Comanche Nation and descendent of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He grew up in the Cache area. He went to Culinary Arts School and was on the honor roll at OSU. He married Patricia "Baby Doll" Tiddark on November 5, 1990. He loved watching sports, playing softball and spending time with his "Baby Doll", his son, Ryan and grandsons, Jimi and Kevin. Some of his favorite hobbies was carving walking sticks, fishing and singing.
He is survived by his only son: Ryan (Red) Tahdooahnippah; two grandsons: Jimi and Kevin Tahdooahnippah; sisters: Eva Mae Autunez and Ernistine Kopaddy; as well as many loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Patricia "Baby Doll" (Tiddark) Apauty; mother: Eva Lois Kopaddy; sister: Adaline Horn.
