Memorial service for Rita Ann Francis, 80, of Cache, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.
Rita passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, in Boyd, Texas, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Rita Ann Francis was born on August 16, 1945, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Charles and Karen Keller. She was raised in Lawton and later lived in Houston, Texas, where she raised her family. In 1989, Rita and her high school sweetheart and husband, Johnnie Francis, formed LaVelle Class Rings in Houston. In 1993, they moved the company to Cache, Oklahoma, where they operated the business until retiring in 2002. Rita remained a resident of Cache for the past 30 years.
Rita was a devoted Christian who lived her faith through compassion, generosity, and service to others. She had a lifelong love of music and was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. At the age of 15, she was selected to sing in Europe with the United Service Organizations (USO), an honor she cherished throughout her life.
Following retirement, Rita was employed at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where she enjoyed visiting with people and helping others in her own way. Rita never met a stranger and was known for her kindness and willingness to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Taylor and wife Debbie of Boyd, Texas, and Victor Taylor and wife Michelle; her grandchildren, April Reyes and husband Brian, Brittany Feldhaus and husband Corey, Candace Taylor, and Colton Taylor; and her great-grandchildren, Malaki Sturgill and wife Perla, Noah Sturgill, Alexis Sturgill, Abigail Feldhaus, Madison Plummer, and Olivia Feldhaus. She is also survived by her siblings, Tisha Greene and husband Paul, Teri Clark and husband Mike, and Bart Tobias and wife Cheryl. Rita is further survived by her close friends, Pam and Orville Hosford, Zailen Hosford, Canyon Hosford, and Carol Job.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie LaVelle Francis; her parents, Charles and Karen Keller; step-son, Vincent Lee Francis; and her infant daughter, Laurie Taylor.
