Funeral Service for Robert Rowell will be at 11 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Foote officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Scott KCA Cemetery under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 12PM -7PM with family visitation from 5 PM- 7PM on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Comanche nation Funeral Home.
Robert Charles Rowell went to his heavenly home on December 28, 2025. He was born on April 16, 1944 to Charles Emery Rowell and Lila Irene Rowell in Lawton, OK. He attended Elgin High school and graduated in 1962. He married Linda Kay Duke on June 21, 1963.
Robert and Linda ran and started several businesses during their marriage. They managed Robinson Landing at Lake Lawtonka and then opened a meat processing plant in Apache. Later on, they built and ran a successful bingo hall and smoke shop. After retirement, he and Linda enjoyed making road trips to Tunica Mississippi. At home Robert loved to ride his horses and ATVs rounding up his cows. He also loved playing with his grandsons and showing them how to run a ranch. He and Linda were known for their hospitality and the great family gatherings they hosted. He loved to entertain his guests and family with his "True to life" stories.
He is survived by his daughter, Arletta Stewart and her husband, Jason Stewart; daughter, Dorothy Rowell; son: Robert Bill Rowell. Five grandsons: Jason Stewart, Jr., Christopher Stewart and his companion, Rachael Wilcox, Connor Rowell, Emery Stewart and Ethan Stewart; Five great grandchildren: Layla Stewart, Hope Stewart, Emelyn Stewart, Jason "Ollie" Stewart and Amelia Stewart; Two brothers Bill Rowell and his wife Joy, and Everett Rowell and his wife Janie Rowell; three sisters : Bertha Baker, Jaunita Cunningham, and Maudie Cunningham; one sister-in-law: Flora Beth Rhoades; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rowell; daughter-in-law: Ouida Rowell; father: Charles Emery Rowell; mother: Lila Irene Rowell; Brother :George "Bunky" Rowell; sister-in-law: Marilyn Rowell, Brother-in-law: Doss Baker and brother-in-law Buddy Cunningham Brother-in-law: Patrick Duke and sister-in-law: Mary Duke; Brother-in-law: Gerald Duke and sister-in-law: Wilma Duke; sister-in-law Edna Mahaffey; Brother-in-law: James Rhoades.
