Marlene Asenap James of Cache went to her heavenly home on Wednesday May 4, 2022.

Funeral was held 12:00 P.M. Monday May 9, 2022 at Comanche Nation Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Asetamy Officiating. Burial followed at Cache KCA Cemetery under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.

Marlene worked at many cleaners in Lawton. She enjoyed playing bingo, games, traveling, she spent a lot of time following her grandkids sporting activities. She was a proud full blood member of the Comanche Nation.

Marlene is survived by: children: Mike and Gail Frickie, Asa James Jr., Chris James, Rob and Chevonne Asenap, all of Cache; and Timothy James of Walters; 11 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family members.

Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Asa James; daughter Lisa James Womack; son, Ted Asenap; parents: Teddy and Carrie “Peetsuni” Asenap; brothers and sisters: Gene, Lavada, Amy Dell, Raymond, Jack and Stoney Asenap, and Barbara and Bill Edmonson.
