Ramona Wilson
April 21, 2026
The world became a little dimmer on April 18, 2026, when Ramona Wilson, age 79, left us.
Prayer Service Wednesday, 6 pm, at Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
A service honoring her life will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 10:00 am at Cache Public School.
Ramona was born on October 10, 1946, in Lawton to her parents, Nathaniel and Vida Woommavovah. From the beginning, Ramona carried a spark that touched everyone she met.
Ramona lived a life filled with creativity, humor, and a deep love for her family. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special, and she poured her heart into the things she created. She was known for sewing corn bags that everyone loved, and for making beautiful quilts for her grandchildren, each one stitched with care, patience, and pride.
Ramona dedicated 44 years of her life to Cache Public Schools, serving as the beloved High School Secretary. She was a steady, familiar presence in the halls of Cache, known by generations of students, staff, and families. Many watched their own children, grandchildren, and relatives pass through the same doors she faithfully served behind. To the Bulldog Nation, Ramona was more than an employee; she was a cornerstone of the community, loved, respected, and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She built a life filled with love, raising a family she adored, pursuing passions like quiet moments reading, relaxing with her favorite movies, and spending time on her cell phone playing games. Ramona didn't just play, she won, often taking first place in the game tournaments she joined. She also had a soft spot for TikTok, which she proudly declared was the best. She shared countless videos with friends and family, always finding something funny, sweet, or surprising to brighten someone's day.
One of her greatest joys was sharing pictures of her grandchild. She loved showing them off, celebrating every milestone, every smile, every moment.
Ramona is survived by her children: Melanie (Roy) Gogue, Oklahoma City, OK, Thomasina (Mike) Adams, Carlisle, PA, Scott Wilson, Tulsa, OK, Tiffany Heard, Hopkinsville, KY, Nicholes Heard, Lawton, OK.
Grandchildren: Todd Gogue, Trey Gogue, Mia Gogue, William Adams, Olivia Adams, Scotty Wilson, McKean (Allison) Heard, Allison (Adonijah) Hammond, and Nesha (Allen) Fields. Great Grandchildren: Destiny Gogue, Violette Gogue, Madden Heard.
She is proceeded in Death by: Parents, Nathaniel and Vida Woommavovah. Siblings, Brenda Roach, Patricia Davis, Gerald Woommavovah, Jackie Woommavovah, Jacqueline Woommavovah and Brother-in-law, Joe P. Brady.
Ramona will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her creativity, and the love she carried for her family. Her legacy lives on in the quilts she made, the memories she created, and the lives she touched.
