Ina Ruth Fritz

Ina Ruth Fritz, 94, of Mountain View, Oklahoma (OK), passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Lawton, OK. She was born on November 1, 1931, in Indiahoma, OK, to William Edgar "Ed" and Ina Elmira (Spiva) Cranfill.

Ina Ruth grew up in her hometown and graduated as Salutatorian from Indiahoma High School. As a young woman in 1949, she joined her sister Helen in Washington, D.C., and proudly worked for the Atomic Energy Commission.

On November 23, 1952, she married David Fritz Jr. in Indiahoma. The couple began their life together in Saddle Mountain, OK, where they spent several years farming and ranching. In 1961, they relocated to Mountain View and went on to own and operate a wholesale fuel business for 35 years. Ina Ruth served as the dedicated bookkeeper for the family business while lovingly maintaining their home and raising their children. A woman of deep Christian faith, she was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Mountain View where she taught Sunday school for many years.

She leaves behind a loving family and is survived by three daughters: Mary (Fritz) Bowlin and husband Darrell of Lawton/Pumpkin Center, OK; Carol (Fritz) Jones and husband Mike of Elgin, OK; and Lesia (Fritz) Gutierrez and husband Dan of Frisco, TX; as well as son, David Fritz, III and wife Tammy of Cache, OK.

She will be dearly missed by nine grandchildren: Dustin Bowlin and wife Tracy of Nipomo, CA; Amy Wood and husband Jeremy of Milford, KS; McKenna Renna and husband Mike of Mount Holly, NJ; Dylan David Sewell of Frisco, TX; Kayla Fritz and fiancé Andrew Duffy of Lawton, OK; Taylor Roseberry and husband Dakota of Cache, OK; Danielle Gutierrez and Matthew Mitchell of Shelton, WA; Amanda Miller of New Braunfels, TX; and Carissa Ebrom and husband Lucian of New Braunfels, TX.

Her legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren: Reagan Adams and husband John, Hope Wood and friend Ryan Jackson, Sadie Bowlin, Ashley Romero, Adalyn Roseberry, Eli Duffy, Jaiden West, Peyton Bell, Rowan Mitchell, Tripp and Finley Ebrom, and great-great-grandchild Roslyn Adams.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Crossland of Powell, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Ina Ruth was preceded in death by beloved husband, David Fritz Jr.; parents Ed and Ina Cranfill; sister Helen Elliott, and four brothers Edgar, Wayne, J.C., and Carl Cranfill.

Funeral service was held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 24, 2026 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Interment was held at Mountain View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
