Graveside service for John Stanton Lewis, 73, of Geronimo, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK with Rev. Steve Mallow and Tony Elkins officiating.
John passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at his home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
John was born on October 18, 1952 in Lawton, OK to John Rheamon and Mary Lois (Curtis) Lewis. He grew up in Geronimo, OK graduating in 1970. After high school, he joined the workforce and was a jack of all trades and did everything his way, but his favorite job was being a farmer. He loved to check and count cattle. John Boy was the life of every party and loved to tell stories. He enjoyed coyote hunting and driving through the country.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Jacobs and her husband, Jason, Marina Vazquez and her husband, Leo, John Arthur Lewis; his bonus daughters, Amber Earp and Tara Gibson; his siblings, Shirley Rowland and her husband, Jasper, Charles Lewis, and Sherry Phillips and her husband, Mike; his grandchildren, Gage Ryans and his wife, Sarah, Julian Perry, Jadeyn Perry, Josey Perry, Baylee Moe, Grace Lewis, Arianna Reed, Ariella Reed, Jessie Reed, and Emma Gibson; his great grandchildren, Jolene Ryans and Creed Ryans; his best friend in the whole world, Rock'N Les Henson; and many other loving family members and friends.
John is preceded in death by his grandparents, John S. and Bessie Lewis, and Sydney and Etha Curtis; parents, John R. and Mary Lois Lewis; his brother, Darrell Lewis; and his sister, Cindy Lewis.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Complete Hospice, especially his nurses, Dawn Hickman and Veronica Burden, for the exceptional care that they provided.
