Ollie Fielding Price, Jr.

Funeral service for Ollie Price, 89, of Fletcher, Oklahoma, will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Fletcher Christian Church with Pastor Jim Hall, officiating. Burial will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will greet friends on Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Mr. Price passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 in Fletcher, Oklahoma at the age of 89.
Ollie Fielding Price Jr. was born November 9, 1932 in Elgin, Oklahoma to Ollie and Ruth (Ham) Price. Ollie went by Clayton Price until he was 16 when he found out his legal name was Ollie. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1951. Ollie married Mary Susan Gilbert on June 3, 1951. The two were married for 60 years when she passed away in 2011. Ollie worked in the oilfield for 3 years after he and Susan were married. He attended Cameron University and then Oklahoma Baptist University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Education. After college, Ollie and Susan moved to California where he worked in the oilfield before moving to New Mexico where he taught school. He moved back to Oklahoma in 1959 and taught at Stoney Point School. Ollie worked in Civil Service until he and his family moved East of Fletcher where he started the family farm. Ollie loved the Lord and was an avid student of the book of Revelations. He served as a pastor in Indiahoma and Shawnee while attending Oklahoma Baptist University.
He is survived by his son, Fielding Price and his wife Michelle, of Fletcher; 2 daughters: Beth White and her husband Jeff, of Fletcher and Faye Price, of Cache; 5 grandchildren: Joy Tyrone and her husband Steven, Wendy Howe and her husband Alex, Zachary Price, Jesse Price and his wife Kara, and Jason White; 6 great grandchildren: Abby, Emma, Jaydin, Oaklynn, Kamdyn, and Kaidyn; and 1 sister, Janie Sue Hays.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Susan Price; his parents: Ollie and Ruth Price; 1 sister, Mary Lou Nance; and 1 great grandchild, Karley.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Fletcher Food Bank in Ollie’s memory.
